PSA 📢 @wandererskneaded do vegan cheese! Oh, and they just so happen to be the current champions of the @scottishstreetfoodawards (along with @thebuffalotruck well done guys!) However, back to the cheese. I'm going to go as far to say this is the best vegan cheese I've tried on a pizza yet. You can have a vegan pizza or you can have one of their classics with vegan cheese if like me you're off the dairy. WINNER. It was absolutely delicious, I had the "To the Moon and Back" with nduja and rocket. Making a baby with someone is quite something, I knew from our first date that this guy was going to be the father of my children. He is innately kind and caring and is the best dad to Lennon (and Stan!) Now that I'm a mum I can see how hard it must have been for my mum to play both mum and dad to me, and all things considered she did a bloody good job. That's why I know we're extra lucky to have a dad like Pat showing Lennon how to be one of the good guys ❤️ There's no one I'd rather our son was more like than you. FOOD PORN INCOMING 👀 If ever there was a weekend to head to @thepittmarket for the @scottishstreetfoodawards supported by @hellmannsuk IT IS THIS WEEKEND. 16 food vendors from across Scotland serving up their delicious street food from seafood to vegan mac n cheese to Peru to Spain and back again. We tried: @shrimpwreck shrimp bun - WELCOME BACK TO EDINBURGH YOU BEAUTS. @ginger_and_chilli special bao bun with lemongrass pulled pork - the most unusual and delightful pulled pork I've had. @fatboysglasgow pulled pork burger - also delicious. Pitt stalwarts @eatbnb crab on chips (and I added some gremolata cos it's the 💣) And Edinburgh pizza faves @wandererskneaded - we had three of their pizzas! Polenta, chicken lollipops, monkfish 🙌 I didn't ask about dietaries when we went to @grazingbymarkgreenaway so I only ate a little of the polenta as it had allllll the dairy in it. Boy it was good! The chicken lollipops were delicious too and monkfish is one of my favourites so it will always be a winner. I'm still astounded that @chefmarkgreenaway did a free lunch service as the food was excellent, with top quality ingredients, not to mention the number of staff it took to deal with a full lunch service in one sitting! The "fish and chips" from @grazingbymarkgreenaway yesterday. Soft, fresh fish, in a light (I detected a touch of beer?) batter served with crunchy shoestring fries on crushed peas. The highlight though - that tartare sauce. Velvety light, almost foamy with salty capers hidden at the bottom. The perfect accompaniment to the fish. Tell the Colonel this is how you do Kentucky frying. Lunch was on @chefmarkgreenaway today, who opened the doors of his new venture @grazingbymarkgreenaway to the public FOR FREE to try his new lunch menu. This Kentucky fried cauliflower with garlic aioli was 🤤 Lennon and I both enjoyed tucking into it! The restaurant looks fantastic, the staff dealt with the extremely busy lunch service very well, there was a bit of a mix up with our food but when there was no staggering of bookings (they literally seated the whole restaurant at 12pm) they can be forgiven - and it was free obviously! We were made to feel welcome even with an exuberant 11 month old whose noise was thankfully absorbed by the buzz of the restaurant and the oohs and aahs of grateful diners 🙌 We will definitely be back soon.
