So, it’s been a while. I’m fit for execution myself with my poorly organised blog and the inability to post weekly or on a schedule! Gonna get my arse in gear and get back to introducing you to some of my favourites, one death row dinner date at a time.

Chloe is being sentenced to death by lethal injection for eating peanut butter, tomato sauce and cheddar cheese sarnies. There is no excuse for that.

B R E A K F A S T

“A really decent bloody mary with good garnishes. As I can’t eat normal bread and I’m going to die anyway, I would then have a slice of really nice sourdough probably from Flint Owl Bakery – with smashed avocado, salt, pepper and lemon juice. I’d have 2 runny boiled eggs using proper organic eggs with orange yolks and have streaky bacon for dipping. And finally I would have creamy, garlic and herb mushrooms with shaved truffle on another piece of good sourdough. I usually have big breakfasts, so yes this is what I would have!”

L U N C H

“It’s got to have to be fish and chips. I grew up with having these every Friday and they’re still a favourite. If they were in new Zealand I would get a side of green lipped mussels and a large glass of Marlborough sauvignon blanc.”

S T A R T E R

“12 bluff oysters (a southern town in NZ with some of the best oysters in the world) with shallot vinegar and a glass of champagne. 6 is never enough and I can never afford 12!”

M A I N

“A proper Neopolitan pizza (not gluten free I’m dying remember) with porcetta, artichokes, olives and mozzarella. A side of truffle parmesan triple cooked chips. Would probably have an expensive bottle of creamy buttery Chardonnay.”

D E S S E R T

“A cheeseboard with French camembert, brie with truffle honey, a good English cheddar and seeded crackers. Serve it with a tomato chutney and a decent glass of French Bordeaux wine.”

T H E Β V E R D I C T

Chloe is possibly the classiest person I’ve had on Death Row so far – including wine pairings with her meals, can’t have her showing me up. Put her to sleep!
