Call it serendipity, call it kizmit, call it fate but after hunting for hours on Trip Advisor, I came across Zahida.
They say actions speak louder than words so all I’m going to say, for now, is…
I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS
(and that’s kind of a big deal)
The kitchen is run in West Market by some of Zahida’s five sons, each one of whom picked their favourite dish of their mum’s to add to the menu. Zahida came to the UK from Pakistan in the 1970s and shared her recipes with her boys who do her so proud now with them. They also had their own IPA brewed to match the food.
Bobby is the front of house guy with a zest for life and customer service like no other. We left with full bellies, smiles on our faces and a list of recommendations of where to go for drinks after.
The food was some of the best I’ve ever eaten in my life and all I can do now is say if you’re going to Copenhagen I implore you to go. At the time of writing this, this little corner restaurant that has only been open for four months is number one on Trip Advisor. It’s so well deserved guys, congratulations.
I won’t do my usual run through because I want to keep this short and snappy but we had Zahida’s chicken, flaming lamb chops, rice, garlic naan, daal, and chicken & pepper curry. Every morsel was amazing. Thank you. 🙏
