My who-what-wheres have fallen a little by the wayside. Going to try to get back on track for weekly, maybe bi-weekly round ups.
I love a bit of clever advertising. I definitely only bought this for my lunch on Monday because it’s called Vegeree. Well played Waitrose. It was tasty too.
I have been going to Brighton Girl meet ups since May, a meet up group for 20-something girls in Brighton and Hove. It’s been a fantastic way to meet new people, we’re always expanding with more and more newbies so there is always someone new to speak to. If you’d like to find out more, see the link above. We also have a Facebook group too if you want to find out more. Despite the fact I’ve lived here for 9 years, it’s never too late to make new friends! There are coffee and drinks alternate meet ups and our next one is on Wednesday – the more the merrier!
Brighton Girl is not just a meet up group, it’s also an exciting new magazine and website and I’ve been involved with the editorial team. On Monday night, the lovely Laura from Lawley’s Bakery gifted us a cake to sample. See my review here. If you want to get involved in the magazine, feel free to contact me for more information or email hello@brightongirlmag.com.
A full review of GB1 at the Grand is coming soon to the wee food blogger but for now I share with you ‘Scallop Popcorn’ it was a bit of a revelation, tangy, slightly fishy, salty popcorn. It was very moreish.
I’ve been all about quick dinners this week. I seem to have so much on at the moment that they need to be fast and easy. Also with the amount of cake I ate courtesy of Lawley’s I needed to balance it out!
Tortilla pizzas are quick, cheap, easy and versatile. They’re one of my favourite dinners at the moment.
The eating well was short lived when I had a horrific hangover on Saturday post work night out.
I’ve also just joined in on Instagram stories, I LOVE it. It’s a great way to post snippets without having them permanently on your grid.
My poor wee guy had his manly bits off this week so he’s been feeling sorry for himself, bless his wee cotton socks. I’m not complaining though, he’s been super cuddly which was just what I needed on my hangover!
What have you been up to this week? Let me know in the comments!
‘Til next time.
